WCSM collects personal information from you, including information about you/your children’s:

• name, age, gender and ethnicity
• previous music tuition, if any
• contact information
• location and school attending
• bank details if a refund is due

We collect your personal information in order to:

• provide information about the type of music tuition we can provide
• provide summary information to the Charities Commission, which is a statutory requirement for non-profit organisations
• apply for grant funding
• pay a refund if due

Providing much of this information is optional. Should you choose not to enter age, previous music tuition or contact information, we’ll be unable to provide the best advice on what type of music tuition is available. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at ashaffer@waikato.ac.nz, or 078384611. Your data is stored securely and accessed only by those WCSM staff members who require it in order to fulfil the purposes outlined above.
